Why I Love Photographing Seniors at Lowe Family Farm

If you have been searching for the perfect location for senior pictures in the Boise area, I want to tell you about one of my favorite spots. Lowe Family Farm is a location I keep coming back to because of how much variety it offers all in one place.

In a single session we used four totally different backdrops. An old rustic truck, hay barrels, a sunflower field, and a gorgeous zinnia flower field. Each one gave us a completely different feel, which means a full and diverse gallery without ever having to drive somewhere new.

The timing made all the difference

We started shooting a little before golden hour and stayed right through it. Starting early gave us time to relax and work through the different spots on the farm. By the time we reached the flower fields, that warm golden light had settled in and the photos were absolutely stunning. If you are planning a session at Lowe Family Farm, I would recommend arriving about an hour before sunset. You will not regret it.

It's a relaxed, natural setting

One of my favorite things about shooting at a farm is how quickly seniors loosen up. There is no pressure and no formal backdrop, just open fields, beautiful flowers, and good light. That ease shows in every photo. If your senior wants pictures that feel natural and genuinely beautiful, a farm session is hard to beat.

If you are in the Boise area and want to book a senior session at Lowe Family Farm, I would love to hear from you!
