When you book a headshot session with me in Boise, we start by talking about what the photo actually needs to do for you. The lighting, background, posing, and overall feel of the session are chosen around that goal, so you leave with a headshot that feels professional and current.

What to Wear for Your Boise Headshot Session
This is one of the questions I hear most often.
Stick with solid colors or subtle patterns. Busy prints, tight checks, and fine stripes can create distracting effects on camera, so simpler clothing is usually the safer choice.
Bring two or three options if you have them, including a jacket, blazer, sweater, or another layer for a quick second look. We can see how each option works with the lighting and background before deciding which one photographs best.
Fit matters more than the brand name. A well-fitting, wrinkle-free piece will photograph better than an expensive one that does not sit properly. It is also best to avoid any dramatic haircut, hair-color, or grooming changes immediately before your session.

Studio or Location: Your Choice
Most headshot sessions take place in my studio, where I can control the setting and create a clean, polished result.
Depending on the look we are creating, I may use natural light, professional flash, or a combination of both. Natural light can feel soft and approachable, while flash gives me more control over the lighting. Both can produce a professional, finished headshot.
Headshots do not have to happen in the studio, though. I can also meet you at your office, workplace, or another location that makes sense for the photos you need.
Before your session, we will talk through how you plan to use the images and decide whether the studio or an on-location session is the better fit.
