The Best Spot for Senior Photos in Boise: Kathryn Albertson Park
Senior photographer near me. Senior in white on a bridge behind beautiful greenery at the Kathryn Albertson Park. Boise, Idaho, Eagle, Idaho, Meridian, Starr, all treasure Valley areas forever my media offers, beautiful senior photos.
When seniors and their families ask me about the best locations for portraits in Boise, Kathryn Albertson Park is always one of my first recommendations. It offers a little bit of everything: winding paths, open water, tree-lined backdrops, and soft light that photographs beautifully. It is no surprise this park has become one of the most popular spots for senior photos in the Treasure Valley.
For this session, I had the privilege of photographing an incredible senior who brought so much energy and personality to the shoot. She came with a natural confidence and style that made every image feel authentic to her. Sessions like this are why I love senior photography. Each senior brings their own story, and no two sessions ever look the same.
Kathryn Albertson Park gave us the perfect mix of backdrops to showcase her style, from relaxed candid shots along the paths to more polished portraits with the water behind her. The variety means her gallery will feel complete, full of images that she and her family will treasure.
If you are a high school senior in Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Star, or anywhere in the Treasure Valley, Forever My Media would love to help capture your story. Senior year is a milestone worth remembering, and choosing the right location is the first step in creating photos that feel true to you.

Golden Hour Senior Portraits on the Boise Greenbelt
Golden hour on the Boise Greenbelt is pure magic — the warm, soft light creates a dreamy glow perfect for senior, grad, and family portraits in the Treasure Valley.
There’s just something about golden hour. That moment when the sun is low, the light is warm, and everything feels a little softer and more magical. On the Boise Greenbelt, it’s even better — the way the sunlight filters through the trees and reflects off the water makes it one of my favorite spots for portraits in the Treasure Valley.
For this session, we wandered to one of my favorite little spots along the Greenbelt right as the light started to turn golden. The colors came alive, the air felt warm, and every shot had that dreamy glow that makes portraits feel timeless.
I love sessions like this because they’re more than just photos — they’re a chance to capture an important season in life. Whether it’s a high school senior getting ready for graduation, a college grad stepping into a new chapter, or a family making memories together, my goal is to create images that tell your story in a way you’ll treasure for years.

A Boise Family Photoshoot at Ann Morrison Park
This Boise family session had it all — sunshine, laughter, and the kind of connection you can’t pose. I create photos that feel like you, serving families across Eagle, Boise, Meridian, Star, and beyond.
This session reminded me why I love what I do. We met at Ann Morrison Park in Boise — one of my favorite spots for family photography — and from the moment this mama laid back in the grass with her three kids, everything just clicked.
They played, laughed, and cuddled up together like nobody was watching. That’s always the goal: honest, relaxed moments that show your real connection.
Even their dog was part of the fun (and totally stole the show a few times).
If you’re looking for a family photographer in Eagle, Boise, Star, Meridian, or anywhere in the Treasure Valley, I’d love to help you create photos that feel like you — the kind you’ll actually want to frame, print, and come back to for years.

Some sessions just hit different, and this one is a favorite for sure.
We met at Katherine Albertson Park in Boise, and the light was incredible. It filtered through the trees in a way that made the whole space glow. It honestly felt a little magical. This senior brought so much confidence and personality to her shoot. She showed up fully herself, and that’s all I ever ask.
She had multiple outfits and we used a few different spots around the park to match each look. From soft greens to golden light, we had the perfect variety. That’s one of the reasons I love shooting here. Every corner of this park offers something different.

These Two. Still So in Love.
Still holding hands. Still stealing kisses.
Some love stories don’t fade. They grow deeper with time. I didn’t tell them to do this — they just looked at each other like that, and I happened to catch it.
They told me it had been years since they’d had pictures taken together. Honestly, you’d never know it.
From the second I started photographing them, it felt like I was watching two people who still completely adore each other. The way they held hands. The way they smiled at one another. The quiet little jokes that made them laugh mid-pose. It was the kind of love that doesn’t need to be flashy — it just is.
I didn’t need to tell them how to interact — they already knew. All I had to do was step back and let it happen. And I’m so glad I did. Because what we captured feels like something that matters.
You don’t need a big event or a special reason to have your love documented. Sometimes, the fact that it’s been a while is reason enough. These two are proof that love can last — and when it does, it deserves to be remembered.
Should You Ask for Black and White Edits on Your Family Photos? (Eagle/Boise Photographer Explains)
Wondering if black and white edits belong in your family photos? Eagle/Boise photographer Jennifer LeMaster explains when they work, why they matter, and how they help capture real emotion.
Wondering if black and white family photos are worth asking for? You’re not alone. A lot of families across Eagle, Boise, and the Treasure Valley aren’t sure if they should stick with color or include some black and white edits in their gallery.
Here’s the short answer:
You don’t have to choose just one. But having a few black and white edits from your family session can bring out a whole different side of your photos.
Why Black and White Edits Matter:
They highlight emotion and connection.
They turn simple moments into timeless images.
They bring focus to faces, expressions, and the real feel of your family.
As a photographer based in Eagle, Idaho, I always include a few black and white edits when I deliver your gallery. You still get all your photos in color, but some moments — the laughs, snuggles, little details — just feel more powerful in black and white.
Do You Need Your Whole Gallery in Black and White?
No — most families love a mix. I’ll take care of choosing which images work best in both styles so you don’t have to worry about it.
At the end of the day, it’s about creating photos that feel like you — honest, real, and timeless.
If you're planning a family photo session in Eagle, Boise, Meridian, Star, or anywhere in the Treasure Valley, I'd love to help capture those little moments.
Why Dads Belong in Family Photos – Eagle, Idaho Family Photographer
Looking for a family photographer in Eagle/Boise, Idaho? Here’s why dads deserve to be in the photos too — captured in a candid, natural way your family will treasure.
When most families book a session, it’s the moms reaching out. And often, the dads are just going along with it.
But here’s the truth I’ve seen over and over again as a family photographer in Eagle, Idaho — dads may not ask to be in the photos, but the moments with them are some of the most meaningful ones we capture.
From piggyback rides to quiet cuddles, playful tosses to proud smiles — these are the memories your kids will hold onto forever.
I photograph families all over Eagle, Boise, Star, and the Treasure Valley, focusing on candid moments that feel real, relaxed, and genuine.
For the Dad Who Thinks He Doesn’t Like Photos
You don’t need to pose.
You don’t need to smile on command.
You just need to show up — and I’ll take care of the rest.
Most dads leave their session saying, “That was actually kind of fun.”
Because when you focus on connection instead of perfection, it feels easy — and the photos reflect that.

Best places for Family Photos in Boise, Idaho (Hint it's the Boise depot)
The boys are Dubo is one of my favorite family photo spots. It offers variety, beauty, and that golden Idaho light all in one easy location.
Why I Love Family Sessions at the Boise Depot
The Boise Depot is one of my favorite places to photograph families in the Treasure Valley. It’s beautiful, easy to get to, and gives us so many options for different looks — all in one session.
There’s a wide open grassy area that’s perfect for candid movement and connection. We also have soft, natural light in the gardens near the pond, and gorgeous architectural backdrops with the Depot’s white stone, archways, and red tile roof.
The best part? You don’t have to pack up and drive across town to get a gallery full of variety. It’s all right there — and it looks amazing no matter the season.
This recent session was full of laughs, connection, and golden light. Their sweet dog even made an appearance, which made the images feel even more personal and real.
If you’re looking for a session location that’s both stunning and stress-free, the Boise Depot might be the perfect fit.

The Magic of Candid Moments
One of my favorite parts of a family photo session is when a posed moment turns into something totally real.
In this photo, we had everyone loosely positioned, but then the boys started goofing around-one cracked up, the other burst into laughter-and Dad leaned in, fully engaged with them. Mom stayed focused on the camera, bringing this beautiful sense of calm to the chaos around her. It was spontaneous, genuine, and completely them..
That's the kind of energy I aim to capture as an Eagle/Boise family photographer. Real connection. Natural emotion. The in-between moments that make your family yours.
If you're looking for family photos in the Treasure Valley, that feel true to life, I'd love to photograph your story.
